I spent 5 years working in downtown Neenah, so I've been to plenty of restaurants in Menasha, Neenah, and the Appleton area. And I was there when I would say the revitalization of Mensha's downtown began, and it was cool to watch. There were some really cool changes and developments that happened in the mid-2010s and continued into the 2020s.

One of those changes occurred in July 2023 with the opening of Rusted Roost. I recently went here for the first time with my wife and another couple and all I can say is "WOW" the meal was amazing, the food spectacular, and the service top notch. But the whole time I found myself wondering about the people coming & going using the stairs I saw.
That led them to The Coop, an open air rooftop bar with it's own menu of more finger food and drinks to enjoy with live music. I looked up some photos and wish I would have checked it out, so now I have to go back. The story listed on the Rusted Roost website about how it got started is one of passion and a desire to get more out of life. I love the story and I love supporting local spots like this and sharing them with others.
