Yo, takeout from India Bhavan was amazing. The food showed up still very hot and the quanities were absolutely legit. My wife & I enjoyed as much as we could and still had plenty of food for leftovers. She got her typical Butter Chicken Masala and I tried something new. And let me tell you, the Chicken Dum Biriyani was amazing and I highly recommend it!

Annual Update - 2025
Well, I didn't get a chance in late 2025 to share an update about a meal my wife & I shared with friends in November at India Bhavan because my wife had our baby in early December so I put work stuff on the shelf for a bit. But let me tell you, every time I go to India Bhavan the food is amazing. The Chicken Pepper Masala I had is still a great memory in my mind and making my mouth water just thinking about it. 

And maybe the highlight of that visit was it was my wife's first ever visit to India Bhavan and she thoroughly enjoyed her Butter Chicken and the Nann bread we had. Yes, she was ready to make this a great takeout option during her maternity leave and my vote was absolutely yes and on board with that.

Plus the cherry on top for this visit was the time shared with the friends we were with. We were probably at the restaurant for over 2 hours just laughing and sharing good conversation. We had long finished our meal when we finally packed up at closing time and hit the road. Yes I love good conversation and we had a great time in the red booths of India Bhavan on this night!

January 2025 Visit
Well it's been quite a bit of time since I visited but nothing has changed and the food is still amazing at India Bhavan.

Recently I met my friend Jason there for some lunch and to discuss a book we have been reading together. This is something we generally do every 2-3 weeks and on this day we wanted flavorful food. As you can see below, my meal starts out organized and quickly devolves into chaos on my plate here. But the food is so tasty and absolutely amazing on some Garlic Naan bread. On this day I had the Chicken Pepper Masala and it was wonderful, I highly recommend it.

Okay, so if you read my post for Taste of India you know I'm a fan of Indian food and India Bhavan is another spot in the Green Bay area you have to check out. Unlike Taste of India where it's somewhat of a sampler platter type lunch, when you go to India Bhavan for lunch, you will not be leaving hungry (that I can promise you). The menu is much larger and your options are all amazing, so since we are near Thanksgiving when I write this let me suggest you wear your stretchy pants haha.

The first time I went to India Bhavan I'll be honest I didn't even look at the menu, I actually let a friend do the ordering. I had a client that I had just helped close on a home in the Green Bay area and he wanted to take both the lender and me out to lunch and he picked Indian Bhavan. I wasn't sure what I should get and I told him he could pick as he'd been before so he handled the ordering for all three of us and over two hours later we were all rolling to our cars. Okay, not literally, but the amount of food was amazing and we all took leftovers home for another meal. 

But since that day back in the summer I've been several more times and every time the food is amazing, and the conversation is also wonderful. Plus we've always had amazing service from the folks that work here. And there is something about the restaurant that is comforting and makes conversation easy, and I've very much enjoyed going with friends to share time. 

Personally I'm a Tikka Masala fan usually with Indian food and most times I get the Chicken Tikka Masala, but I've also had the Chicken Pepper Masala and very recently I got the Kadai Chicken. Yes there is a theme here, I love chicken. But the food at India Bhavan is always amazingly flavored, a healthy portion, and the Naan bread is served warm and is amazing. I know I don't have photos to share, but don't worry I'll be heading back and I'll make sure to make some updates for future posts so stay tuned, or maybe just invite me to lunch and let's share a meal together.

Plus another fun fact about India Bhavan is that Aaron Rodgers was apparently a big fan and said so before he left town for the Jets. So that's a celebrity endorsement for you right there!! I wonder if Taylor Swift will go here after Sunday Night Football with Travis Kelce??
