Lunch Date - January 23, 2026
Just under 7 weeks ago my wife & I welcomed our son into the world, and it's been a wild ride. It hasn't been easy, and he comes with plenty of challenges, each of which is a growth opportunity for us. We grow thanks to challenges and hard times, and my wife & I have now grown a lot in the past ~7 weeks. We are grateful for him, but have also had moments where it's been very hard and we've had to lean on each other to get through it. We tell each other "same team" every night and always remember that phrase because if we forget it, then we are in trouble.
Well today we had our first date away from our son, and it was a lunch date while little man was with Nana & Papa. We headed to Mexico Lindo in De Pere where I had the Cheese Lovers Bowl, and she had the Cantina Bowl. Both are amazing and both are my go-to lunch choices whenever I go to Mexico Lindo. The Cheese Lovers Bowl is chicken, steak, and shrimp in a cheese sauce, served with rice & tortillas; ummmm yeah, it's amazing and a perfect array of what I enjoy!
Ahhhh yea, such a good date, with the most amazing company and wonderful food!!

As I've written about in the Mexico Lindo blog for the location in Howard, I'm a fan. But there is something amazing about this location, it's proximity to my company office haha. Opened in 2025, the new Mexico Lindo location is in West De Pere and they did a beautiful remodel of a former restaurant before opening this new location officially.
The food is the same as the location in Howard, at least I believe it is considering I haven't audited both menus haha. But it's the same ownership and management and I even recognize staff at the new location from the prior location. So yeah, you can consider it the same but this provides a different option for those who live in West De Pere vs Howard.
I have stopped in several times and ordered takeout to eat at my office haha numerous times. I love the food; the tacos, burritos, bowls, nachos, and drinks. So much good food at Mexico Lindo, with a great atmosphere. Yes I highly recommend this spot!!!
