Two Visits in Two Weeks - March 2026
Well, after not going for a couple years I found myself at Acoca twice in less than a two weeks span. First my wife & I went the morning affter seeing Hamilton at the PAC for our first overnight away from our son since his birth. I enjoyed the Lox & Bagel which was a great way to start my day and she got the Egg Sandwich with bacon. We shared a wonderful brunch before doing a bit of shopping, and I have to say the meal was an amazing way to start our day. After this I was agian ready to recommend this spot to people and before I could type this blog I found myself there with my buddy having a great meal.

We went for lunch and I got the Classic Breakfast Burrito this time and I honestly don't remember what he got. But what I do remember is the burrito was amazing and for the second time in a row I enjoyed a great Pour Over coffee. We shared a wonderful conversation for close to an hour & a half before parting ways and he was grateful for the recommendation as he'd never been here.

Yes, Acoca is good spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Have you checked it out?

Annual Update - 2025
Acoca is an awesome spot right in the heart of Downtown Appleton. Honestly, the location is great given everything that is around it to do, especially if you are spending extended days/nights in Appleton.

I've only been one time, but I can tell you that it's top of my list for February when my wife & I are doing a Staycation in Appleton to see Hamilton at the Fox Cities PAC. Yes, I can't wait to share the amazing food and coffee with her, and for her to get to check out the cool atmosphere this spot offers.

Have you been to Acoca?

Take a look closely, what do you see in the background of this red brick building?? You see the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, which I talked about in my Katsu Ya blog as well.

So if you took my advice or are considering taking my advice I want to tell you about another spot in Appleton to visit. But this one may actually pair better with Rye, if you are going to do a little staycation at the Copper Leaf Hotel. Acoca Coffee offers brunch & lunch options, so it's a great spot to go the morning after spending a night at the Copper Leaf Hotel, whether before or after a spa appointment at Spa Benmarnicos.

Now I'll be honest I've only been once, but the food was amazing, it's a large space for eating with plenty of seating, and the staff was very friendly. And the meal I went for was simply a networking lunch and I was blown away by the food. Sadly I didn't get a picture that day and I took this when I was in Appleton eating at Antojitos because I wanted to make sure to share this great spot with all of you, because I don't want anyone to miss out.

I believe I'll be here within the next couple months as my wife and I are due for a staycation and an appointment at Spa Benmarnicos.

I can tell you though about the Sol Bowl, which is an amazing dish. This dish has chorizo on top of herbed home fries with black bean corn salsa, homemade queso, and fried eggs. I mean come on, doesn't that just sound like something you need in your life?!?!

So now I'll ask who wants to go check out Acoca with me so I can snap a few photos of the restaurant and great food??
